We’re reposting our original post from last week regarding YAH’s response to the Covid-19 outbreak and the governor’s stay at home mandate. In addition to the original posting, please note we have also suspended our online appointment system until the end of April. All appointments must now be made with the staff by phone.
Also, we are also suspending all walk-ins unless in case of emergency. Walk ins will be directed to call the clinic and speak directly with a member of our staff regarding drop off or scheduling an appointment.
The Covid-19 pandemic continues to evolve around us and YAH is adapting to our ever changing world to continue to offer best in class veterinary service. We are operating under normal hours with some procedural changes to ensure our client’s safety. Beginning Monday and in compliance with the stay-at-home mandate by the State of North Carolina, YAH will be implementing new procedures in line with public health guidelines set forth by the CDC.
- As much as possible, we are asking that our clients utilize our ‘pet valet’ service by having one of our technicians meet you at your car, perform a remote check in, and then escort your pet into the hospital for the necessary exam. You are welcome to wait in your car, or utilize our drop-off service and come back once the exam is complete. At that point, we will notify you by phone as to the status of the exam and options for next steps.
- We are asking that only one client accompany each pet if necessary to enter the clinic. Only one client and pet will be allowed in each exam room, as well as the waiting room, to encourage social distancing.
- If you are in need of medications only, we ask that you please call ahead and we can leave them outside for your pickup, either at the main entrance or the rear exit of the building.
- We are suspending non-essential procedures such as nail trims and elective surgeries.
So with all of this, what IS still allowed at YAH? Well, everything else you’ve come to know Youngsville Animal Hospital for – and soon more. You get all of the best, most up to date veterinary procedures and services. Most importantly, we continue to offer you the best in hometown veterinary care – the feeling that you and your pet are part of our family. We’re also pleased to announce that we are actively researching and developing telemedicine options for our clients, to be available in the near future.
We know it’s a tough time. Fortunately, this is the community we’re proud to call home and the kind of people we know we can rally around. Let’s all do our part and come out stronger than ever at the end. We look forward to serving you, Youngsville, and thank you for your support.
